Ninja (the cat) survived a fall of 11 stories (not stories -as in books- either). He then disappeared for 2 days until his owner found him with the help of a pet tracking...huh? agency. Here's a photo of the little fellow looking quite pleased with everything.
The Local Dumb Criminal story of the day.
Police arrested a 22 year old man for stealing a mini-van, scarcely 5 minutes after he had been released for a previous car theft. The van was parked only a 1/2 block away from the police station at the time, when the officers noticed that it was on the hot sheet.
The suspect then began to drive it away, but quickly abandoned the vehicle after realizing that he was being pursued.
Nobody was injured during the arrest.
