An item of interest here, is this enhanced video/film of England 100 years ago.
It is not all jerky and scratchy as is the norm for this age of filming. The scenes are very clear, almost looking like an old Coronation Street episode from the 1960's. heh heh
Definitely Edwardian England; but later than 1900 (as old Queen Victoria kicked the bucket in 1901)
and before 1910 (when Edward VII died).
England of the industrial revolution.
Drab surroundings and scarcely a tree in sight; but the people look happy and confident. They should be, for at the time, the British Empire covered 1/4 of the earth's surface. The saying: "the sun never sets on the British Empire" was in fact true.I love these "time capsules"!
First known sound recording (c.1860)
"Au Clair de la Lune"
I've had the following video before: Uncle Rico's Time Machine, in the post:
Games
but I find it soo funny that I am compelled to include it once more.
Not a "epic" post by any means, but time - ha ha - is an issue.
Have a fantastic day! :)
