Tiger Temple

Typical lazy cats

An interesting subject which I have been wanting to cover for a while now, is the Buddhist Tiger Sanctuarylocated in Kanchanaburi, Thailand.

It's here

The Tiger Temple houses approx. 90 of the wonderful cats. Cared for daily by gentle monks, the felines have been raised since they were cubs; and therefore, do not feel threatened by the tourists which come to visit them; upwards of 600/day.

oh yeah - right there

Essentially, the tigers are...big tabbies.

  • Monk&Tiger with noodles.

What a fantastic place!

The cost of admission is $30, with extra being paid to feed/bathe the animals.

Tigers at play!!!

We should put the Buddhists in charge of a whole lot more than this! (yep, like everything)
