Paris Catacombs (Part Two)

....But the Paris Catacombs (about 1.7 km worth) is only part of a much larger network of passages. 

Part Two

Passages which are deeper and are estimated to comprise roughly 250 - 600 kms! 

This greater system of tunnels is known as

The Mines of Moria  Quarries of Paris.

♪♪ All I want is my boat on a river ♪♪

Here the general public is forbidden without the proper permission and accordingly, the whole area is sealed off.

Heavy fines are imposed on those caught without proper guides, and there is even a special police unit (by the name of: ***E.R.I.C.***) which patrols.

..... of course, that doesn't stop the few explorers nicknamed "****Cataphiles****" - to find secret ways to enter: through the sewers, metro system and certain manholes; all the while evading the authorities.

Here is one such group.
