Devil Cat - Giant Rat

In the spirit of the season, we have a YouTube video, featuring an innocent, black, devil cat, which has wandered into a strange house and is now trapped!
An annoying human is trying to shoo it away, but is only succeeding in disturbing the poor thing!
Of course, the cat is hissing and wanting to escape.....
a recipe for disaster is unfolding......

teh heh

Over in China, where eating anything, that walks, slithers, flies or swims ( have I missed any?...oh right - floats! ) is part of a normal diet; a bonanza has been caught and killed!

A rat 10 X !!!the size of a normal rat, or 5 kg. ( 11lbs for you non-metric people ) and 90 cm long ( 35.5" ).

The locals of Shaoyang, ( Hunan province** ), had been noticing that their fish pond, was being depleted of .... well....it's fish -naturally-.....and so they posted a guard. As the mystery unfolded, the fish thieve, turned out to be a pair of giant rats.
The farmers cornered one of the creatures ....

..... and .....

I'm not sleeping
....some parts of China, consider rat meat to be more nutritious than chicken. It is used in soups and stews and braised...
.
...what is braised?
.

*not necessarily rat meat*

The Chinese media have broadcast, that the rats: nick-named " Ratzillas " - oh now,  that's original -
are an invasive species from the Americas.

Alright, enough of that s*&t !

I have never heard of, nor seen, any rat that big around here. More than likely, the "giant rats" are by-products of all the deadly toxins, the booming Chinese industries are releasing so carelessly, into the environment.
I think that the Chinese should not be pointing any fingers and just be grateful that they have such an opportunity to feast on these huge rodents!
