Heroic Dog saves Rory the Cat Through Blood Donation

Kim Edwards knew that something was terribly wrong with her cat Rory, when he started making horrible gurgling cries.

Rory
She brought him into her vet Kate Heller, who determined that the distressed feline had ingested a fatal amount of rat poison....:(

.....Rory would need a blood transfusion to dilute the poison or else.....

Unfortunately, it was Friday evening and all the labs which could check and match the cat's blood type, were closed for the weekend. Without this information, Kate could not risk a transfusion with Rory, as it is fatal if even 1 milligram of the wrong type of cat blood is transfused.

What could she do !!?!!!???
She had to think and act quickly!

As she searched frantically for a solution, Kate was advised to try dog blood.
Cats do not have pre-formed antibodies to canine blood.

Rory's owner Kim was so informed and immediately contacted a nearby friend, who owned an 18 mo. old Labrador by the name of Macie who "volunteered" to help.

120 mil of  Macie's blood was thereby transferred into Rory ...... - an amount which is just enough to dilute the rat poison; until the Rory's own system would regenerate ....

that really hurt you know
....within an hour and half, Rory was feeling better, purring and wanting food!

Now, 3 weeks later, Rory has made a full recovery!

Mysteriously, he now fetches and rolls over on command, but other than that and the the occasional bark, is as good as new!***

See the amazing story:
