Well Just You Wait!/ Ну, погоди!

Here is a sweet animated film series, sent to me by my friend  Irina ❤ ❤ :-)  from Saint Petersburg, Russia.

Well Just You Wait!Ну, погоди!

Running from 1969-2006, for a total of 20 episodes, the show featured the "working class" Wolf/волк ( Volk ) and his nemesis, the "intellectual" Hare/Заяц ( Zayats ). The wolf is trying to catch the hare - probably to eat , and of course fails miserably throughout the series.

what bad guy would be complete without the cigs???

The trademark phrase: "Ну, заяц Ну погоди!" Nu, Zayats, nu pogodi! ( Well, Hare, just you wait! ) is said near the end of each episode, by Wolf  to the Hare as his plans unravel. Reoccurring supporting members are: Cat, who is a magician; the very strong Hippopotamus;  and the nautical Sea lion. Also appearing, are other animals such as: beavers, bears, foxes.

Essentially, the episodes are very simple stories, without any great political premise behind them. Meant to be laughed at and enjoyed - and not to be argued about!!! The main director of the show -

Vyacheslav Kotyonichkin

not this man -  I only liked the image**
....kept the topics simple and everyday. Always accompanied with upbeat music, the shows were very popular in Soviet times, and they are still very popular in Russia today!

Watch an episode ( approx. 10 minutes of your life ) or even watch three episodes...see for yourselves!
Very good!!!
